Supplied in space saving kit form, steel prefabricated
tanks offer a very economical and long lasting storage alternative.
The kit form offers many advantages including cheaper freight
costs; ease of installation in inaccessible locations; and
of course easy relocation should the need arise. And yet strength
and long life expectancy are not compromised.
The fully corrugated wall profile provides superior strength
and stability. This is particularly important in high flow,
fast fill and empty applications. Each corrugation acts as
a strengthening rib - right from the bottom to the top.
This tank has been specifically engineer designed to withstand
the severest of conditions. The corrugated walls are so strong
that they can happily operate without a roof if needed without
compromising the strength. They are not dependent on a roof
for wall stability. However, most applications are better
suited with a roof fitted.
The liquid is contained by using an extra strong internal
single layer geo-membrane which has also been selected for
its extra strength and longevity. Under the brand name HYDROSTORE,
it is manufactured from a unique grade of linear low-density
polyethylene and provides the required flexibility a liner
used for water storage demands.
Constant fluctuations in the water levels have no effect
on Hydrostore's performance. And being a single layer geomembrane
means that it is not subject to a process called "wicking"
which can occur in layered or woven membranes.
Evidence of the strength of Hydrostore was shown when tested
under Australian Standard ASTM D4833. This covers the Puncture
Resistance and it achieved a rating of an amazing 2400 PSI.
This is a genuine test of the stresses and strains found in
a typical field application.
So you can have utmost assurance that walls and liner are
of the highest standards available, which gives you confidence
to expect years of maintenance free service.

For the absolute ultimate in protective coatings, we are proud
to announce a revolutionary coating system called Glass-fused- to-steel.
It is a process which is relatively new to Australia but is found
the world over. Developed in the 1940’s, glass fused to steel
offers a life long coating to steel panels.
The steel panels are carefully prepared, cleaned and primed before
being placed in a furnace and heated to over 860 degrees Celsius.
As the surface of the steel melts, Silica glass is added which
also melts and fuses to the surface. Note that it fuses and not
simply “bonds” to the surface. It actually becomes an
integral part of the whole panel. It will not lift off after a period
of time.
This means that the life expectancy cost is superior to that of
welded steel or concrete tanks. Maintenance is virtually eliminated
as glass coatings do not require periodic repainting and most graffiti
can be removed in a matter of minutes.
Each tank is made from individually bolted panels, and sealed with
specially selected sealants with specific chemical resistant properties
suited to the liquids to be stored.
The tanks can be built with either a concrete base, or we can provide
a glass fused to steel base.

Representing
a cheaper alternative, epoxy coated tanks have an interior coating
system that combines great chemical resistance yet still meets relevant
standards for potable water.
Although the tank pictured here is located in America, it gives
an indication of the extremes of sizes and shapes available.
This tank is used for fire protection water storage. It is approx
32 metres high, 8 metres diameter and holds about 1,500,000 litres.

Aquaculture
Tanks
These
poly aquaculture tanks are all made from food grade virgin
poly with smooth internal surfaces - no loose fibres or harmful
substances for either the fish or the farmer. They are lightweight
and resilient, and easily located.
Available in sizes from 300 litres up to 9500 litres, and
varying in diameters between 1 meter to 3.5 meters with heights
between 0.42m and 1m.
